Geforce 9800 GTX driver stops responding

My graphics driver stops responding and vista recovers from it. what happens is this artifact stuff flashes then i get the error on windows. I am currently using the one that came with my graphics card and I have tried using the most current at nvidias website. anyone have some idea why this is happening?
 
I have the driver stop a lot in City of Heroes. NV drivers havnt been to stable for me lately. Is it just one or few applications? Or just at random all the time?

Are you over clocking the card?
 
no im not over clocking it, its at all standard settings, its totally random, but playing a game will usually cuase the driver to stop responding, or playing a movie.
