Hi all .

My Video card is Geforce 8600 GT(512mb) , and I want to know can I play GTA 5 when it release or it's to wick for this game ?

I thought GTA 5 was console only.

But no you can't run even GTA4 with a 8600GT, but on low res and minimal settings.

Hi jmilcher . I don't know who you are , but I can say exactly something goes wrong with you.
I don't know why you trying to insult me . If my Thread is in wrong place , just say it .
Sorry, but you're likely leave an impression of troll than I .

I'm not sure what the specs for GTA 5 are, but I think the 8600GT will not be enough. You will probably want a quad core and a 1GB or more video card (at least 9800GT, better yet GTX 460/560).

Read these a few diff places..

I have a hard time believing you you played GTA 4 on medium settings at a reasonable frame rate above 1024x768. I used an 8600gt 5 1/2 years ago and even then I had to reduce settings in current games at that time even at just 1280 and most times even just 1024. my 8600gt became my backup card for a few years but then it became too slow even for that as it is abysmal in many newer games if I have to use it between decent cards. I now have a gtx560 se that is more than adequate while I wait for another higher end gpu.

Maybe you can play it on onlive???
I don't think so, because I haven't so good internet connection.
how far away are you from your next build?
Not so fare.

I have played just at 1024x768, but I want to change my PC soon , and my new PC will more powerful, and I will play it without any problem .

If GTA5 comes to the PC, it is guaranteed that it will list at least the 8800GT as the minimum video card. Every AAA release on PC has had the 8800GT as the stock minimum-spec card for the last couple of years now.

I would suggest going up to at least a GTS450 if budget is an issue. I just went from an 8600GT to a GTS450 and have had big boosts in performance and graphics quality.
