Which brand of 6800 NU should I get? I am going to buy a new system. Are there any advantages of a certain brand?
btw, choices are xfx, leadtek, evga, msi, gainward, chaintech

thanks in advance

The leadtek is the most expensive, but it also has pretty good cooling and includes 4 full games (Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Prince of Persia, Gun Metal and Big Mother Truckers).

I don't like Gainward, but a couple of people here have bought that one and they seem happy.

The other 3 are all reference designs with reference cooling. It doesn't matter which of those three, besides support and warranty, since they're identical hardware-wise.

On neweggs the leadtek one is only 285$, which is the 2nd cheapest. Cool then, looks like i'll buy that one. thanks :D

I did a forum search and came up with over 100 threads dealing with your question...take a look around ;)

Bah...I can't leave it at that...go with the eVGA...I love mine!

nice. That was a $349 MSRP card.

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=LT-6800_12&c=pw <--- that place has it for $10-$15 cheaper including shipping.
IMO, there's a reason eWiz has a
6.94 rating at ResellerRatings.com and you'd be better off just spending the extra $19 to get it from Newegg.

Anyway, I just ordered the MSI today because I don't think that Leadtek's huge cooling solutions really work. I have had a Leadtek GF4 Ti 4400 with a huge 2-fan HSF and it truely OCs like shit - and even tends to overheat without an OC. I'd go with either the eVGA, the MSI, or the Gainward.

 because the vast majority of satisfied customers is a sign of total incompetence. you do understand that complaint boards are slanted towards complaints, right? Anyways a 6.94/7.89 rating is well above average.

Yes, but on the same complaint boards Newegg, ZZF, and numerous others have 9+ ratings - oh well, do what you want.
