The newest quadro series supports sm3 and sports ddr3, so I would assume its based on the 6800 core.

There hasn't been a soft-mod for a while. There are resistors on the GPU package that are epoxied over, so good luck.

edit: some people got the SoftQuadro4 tweak to work on their FX 5900 cards with maxtreme drivers, but I haven't seen any 6800 soft mods yet.

i've seen some people that got quadro labeled cores on their 6800's. i believe the cores are the same there is just some physical difference with the circuitry on the rest of the board (probably a small one)
