i would do xfx at 159 bucks...would normally say BFG, but thats a 60 dollar savings.
 
I am leaning toward the MSI.

Also the MSI has 15 or 16 cds that come with it (I LIKE FREE STUFF :D)
 
voted for BFG because they are an awesome brand.
however If price is an object you get a kick ass card from XFX.
I've been nothing but happy with mine
 
Had to vote Leadtek since I just ordered one last week from Newegg for $156 after $20 rebate. I liked the Leadtek because it's one of the quieter 6600GTs and has shown a tendency to overclock pretty well.
 
Gigabyte all the way. 1120 stock memory clock is *really* nice, as is the 2ns GDDR3. It's available in a fanless version as well. Even my fanless card has no problems at 600/1200.

Well worth the extra $20 over the XFX. I've used the XFX 6600GT (PCIe) and it has a *really* noisy cooler on it. Worse than my 6800GT with reference cooling, even.

Where are you finding the Gigabyte 6600gt agp that comes stock with 1120 memory and 2ns GDDR3? I can't find one on newegg.
 
Am I the only one that noticed the Bfg is Agp and the others are Pcie so what do you need?
 
Well people were voting based on price and the prices would be diiferent
 
I voted other. Because this card should be faster. 256-bit vs. 128-bit, I havent seen any reviews from it though. ZZF has the Asus retail version for $199. There are 256meg versions, but are more $$.
 
Normally I'd say BFG because of their products and warranty but as far as the 6600GT's go they are too expensive. The Evga that I just got has HDTV out and is $177 w/ free shipping and a $20 rebate for a total shipped price of $157 AR. Link @ Monarch It also comes with a free copy of Far Cry and Call of Duty.

I know what you mean about it being confusing as to which 6600GT to get. Newegg Lists 11 different AGP 6600GT's within a $22 spread.

Same here i got one, its a sweetass card it come 515/1120 stock
and it uses silent pipeline to cool it down and it has VIVO and last but not least great software bundle
 
I voted other since there is no way I would recommend a 128-bit memory video card in 2005.
 
definately asus n6600gt top edition with doom3 included optionally 550/1100 i believe
 
I voted for BFG but for the money MSI is a better buy. In the end they are all the same...

Agreed. The one on my work rig runs 573/1.16. Shweeet for a 6600GT
 
XFX becasue I own one and I think it is a good card.
Overclocks good too.
All these cards are based on reference design anyways so it all comes down to the bundle and price.

not knocking the asus (still have and use my asus GF2), but I think every 6600GT I've seen (read about in the forums anyway) will easily hit those speeds or better. I wouldn't consider that a selling point if it has the usual asus price premium attached.

Doom3 is a nice add-in though.
