GeForce 6600 and SLI (?)

The [H]ard|OCP front page has a link to a review of the XFX GeForce 6600 which states that it supports SLI mode (over the PCI-e bus). For a $100 card, the review is glowing, so my questions are thus:

Does anyone know of any sites which have compared two 6600's (not the GT model) in SLI mode with other cards on the market?

If not, how would you imagine such a setup would fair?
 
I haven't seen it in action but 2 Regular (ddr 1) 6600s should be about as fast as a 6800card. 2 of these new 6600 DDR 2 cards could easily be around the performance of a single 6800GT or 6800GS.
