Looking to buy a Gefore 6200 next month and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with one and if they liked it. From what I can tell it's the best bang for the buck esp at $105. Comments?

Thanks!

If that is all that you can afford and there is absolutely no way that you can spend anymore money then yeah I guess so, but this is assuming that your current hardware is so out of date that you can't play anything on it. If that isn't the case save your money. If you can spend more money do so.

At that price point I suppose. But if you want decent gaming performance the $200 or even the $150 price bracket would get you so much more performance for your money.

Since it was brought up, I've got a XP 2.8, 512 ram and a GF4MX. I get about 30-50 fps in RTCW:ET at 8x6 and about 20-30 in Doom3 at 640x480. Maybe I could go up to $200 but I was thinking of using my ~$300ish dollars to get a vid upgrade and another 512 ram.

Planning on playing alot of HL2:CSS/DM and other games like Dawn of War, maybe finish Doom3 hehe.

The video card will do you more good in games than the ram.
