geforce 5950U

I have a 5900 Ultra 256MB myself and it is a great card. I replaced a softmodded R9500NU with the 5900 and haven't looked back. Still with the next gen cards from Nvidia and ATI just days away, I'd hold off until that all gets sorted out and prices on previous gen cards (I.E. R9800/FX5950) fall a little.

I play UT2004 and Farcry at 1280X1024 at MAX Everything (-AA on Farcry) and the 5900U is very, very smooth. That's at stock speed too 450/850. Good luck with your decision!

depends on how much cash you wanna burn. in some ways its a better card but it costs a whole lot more. not worth the few extra fps imo

Not worth buying. Wait until NV40 is released. Then prices are going to plummet on the old stuff. Or you can spend that $400.00+ on the NV40 or wait a little longer until R420 comes out.

Violence, I have seen nothing from you but negative remarks and posts. If you have nothing to contribute to a thread, then stay the hell out of it. This is a forum, the point is to post either questions or information. If you don't like it, then move along.

Damn I get tired of thread crappers.

Back on topic, I would say wait a bit since the new cards are coming out, that will drop in price for sure.

If joo don't like meh, I believe there is an ignore function for joo to use. There, your problem solved. Click it and ignore me or don't and troll after me, your call.

Why be a lamer all the time? Are you making up for a shitty family life or something? Good point though, I am putting you on my ignore list, so don't bother responding.

My family doesn't post here. They won't read that. Pffftt. Insult me mother whilst your at it. :p

Shawn,

If you haven't already done this, I would recommend putting VIOLENCE FACTOR on your ignore list.

Click on his profile button then at the bottom, click Add to ignore list. Even if he craps on the thread, you won't have to read it.

Eventually, if enough people add him to their list, he'll eventually troll elsewhere.

Another vote for waiting on the card. But, after all, you could have 2 9800Pros for the price of that one 5950U. Just flash the Pros together and you have a 9800squaredProsquared. JK. :p. Sorry, I just read the other where everyone crapped on you and I felt bad. You will be in a much better position to make a decision when the next generation of cards comes out.
