GC9600XT Problems

After installing my 9600XT 128MB GeCube video card, and putting in fresh 4.1 CAT drivers.. i ran NFSU and within 5 minutes the game crashed with a VPU error. I restarted the comp, and ran 3DMARK2001 and it crashed 5 tests into it.

note: I havent overclocked it at all, it is running at stock speed.

Any ideas why i would be getting this error would be greatly appreciated.
 
I've tried a whole host of different cat drivers now, to see how they would handle the games. NFSU still crashes within 2 minutes, 3dmark is more stable but still crashes after a while.
I've played warcraft 3 on it with very annoying sponaneous chug...

I'm pretty sure it isnt the drivers.. I've turned fast-write off and tried 4xagp...

could it be problems with the card?
 
Try it in another box, make sure you clean up old drivers, if problem persists...card!
