I purchased this monitor in Dec. 05, ran it with a evga 7800gt for a few months, worked great till the evga died. I came across a good deal on the Sapphire X1900XT, new from the egg. I get home, install the card hook up the monitor on DVI, fresh install. Things were going great (using a seasonic S-12 600 psu also) windows comes up to splash screen, boots into windows no problem, i install the newest cats from ATI's website. Then all hell breaks loose, upon re-boot I can get to the spalsh screen and it drops signal. But, I can switch it over to the vga on the monitor and it works fine. I grab and older 6600gt I had, the monitor works great on DVI with it, I dont think the DVI on the X1900XT is bad since it boots and will get into windows without the cats installed. I googled a bit, and nothing I saw comes close to what is going on here. I can game on the vga side of the monitor for hours, but I switch to dvi and it loses signal, on the X1900XT.
Please forgive me if I don't have all the correct terminolgy. I do not have another monitor to try DVI with. I think it maybe a problem with resolution that this monitor uses is too high or too low for the card.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
