Gateway X800 Orders?

Gateway called me today saying they dont expect a delivery for 2-3weeks from Ati and I could get this card as late as Aug 9th...

Sadly only Gateway Branded merchandice is boxed in cow boxes...monitors, desktops
and some lcd tv's.

if you want a cow box just skin a cow and wrap it over the box, i heard thats what they do to make thiers they just leave it out in the sun till it dries. and put a smooth clear coat on it

I believe ATI has been BSing distributors on ship dates.

Computer companies will tell you anything to get you to place an order with them instead of a competitor.. The bottom line is none of these companies have any idea as too when they will actually have them in stock. They are relying on information provided to them by the video card manufacturer. I dont think ATI or NVIDIA actually knows either when they will be actually be able to fill all the orders they have. You'll get in when you get it!

I have an order due the 15th. If it's not in my hot little hands, both orders to gateway are getting cancelled (2nd one is supposed to be here the 30th) and they can go screw themselves.

Just emailed them tonight, my date is supposedly the 7/29. I'm gonna wait. I already bought a 6800gt and the x800xt was a during the $398 deal. I'll try both and if the xt isn't noticebly faster, it goes to ebay.
