Gateway backlight bleed help

Is there any way of getting rid of backlight bleed on the Gateway FPD2275W 22".

Ive been through 3 of these and there all the same. I like the monitor but its really annoying. I will prolly return and grab an LCD HDTV instead if it cant be fixed
 
I don't even notice the bleed anymore - at least in gaming. If I watched movies on it though I'd be annoyed.

I tried messing with the brightness but gaming was not playable and gamma over DVI didnt seem to make a difference so I'm just living with it myself.
 
Im most likely going today or tomarow to return the Monitor. Its not worth it to have a monitor for 431.99 that doesnt perform the way it should. I watch alot of movies and its a pain when i cant focus on the movie and all i see is the light issues.
