Hey, i'm not into computers or anything just gamming, i was thinking of making a computer with the help of my friend, because this gay dell sucks. So can you guys tell me what parts i should get for a gamming computer that's under the price of $1200. The only thing i have for it is Moniter, keyboard, and a mouse.

AMD 64 3000+
an asus mobo that supports AMD 64 (a8v rev 2) worth the money
1gig of 3200 ram
Geforce 6800 ultra or GT 256mb Gddr3 memory and 256bit interface
500 watt psu antec or thermaltake and sparkle are all good
Audigy 2 zs if you dont want onboard sound
CDRW drive
120 gig hdd western digitals are very good
a case that will fit it all wont specify tastes differ

Thanks alot man but, will you or anyone be able to put that in links because i dont know what those are. Yea i know it's sad i'm going to start and try to get into computers soon. But if not thanks.

Do i have to buy a intel pentium thing? Yes i know i am very new to this computer stuff. I'm mainly a gamer.

Amd>Intel And im pretty sure the intel pentium thing that you are talking about is the AMD cpu. The Amd 3000+ is like an intel pentium 4, they are both cpus. And since its a high end gaming machine i would definetly go AMD though if you work at it you can get a good intel gaming machine to. They just tend to heat up a lot more :)

RFCL, you left just one thing off, thats speakers. Logitech makes good midrange priced and high end speakers. I also would go 6800 GT and buy a 3200+ if the budget will allow it. The Ultras are just too hard to find for a decent price for me to recommend one. I would suggest newegg for your parts, just find an ad on here somewhere, newegg ads are floating around all the time.
