Hi, i just got a new monitor its a vx922. i really like it lol. i was wondering if there was a program to set a good gama and color setting because it looks a little off. ive seen that one hardware thing where u hang it down infront of your monitor and its supposed to adjust it for you, but i would think there woudl be a program that could do that? can u guys help me out with this please
-thanks

You can try THIS if you don't have Adobe Gamma installed. It's obviously a matter of preference but I suggest setting you monitor sRGB color profile before running your gamma app. This will give you the most accurate color reproduction.

That's a dead link...I DO have Adobe Gamma and it has screwed up my calibration (or maybe I screwed it up)
Noob question...How does one set up a monitor sRGB color profile?

Adobe gamma was not made for lcd panels...and I'm not sure it was all that great for CRT's either.

That is painfully obvious to me now. It would have been helpful if Adobe put that caveat in to the screen display of Adobe Gamma (when it is launched).

Now that I have used it and saved a calibration, the screen looks horrible. I've tried recalibrating it but it is still not good enough. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Uninstall Adobe Gamma and then do a factory reset or "default settings" restoration on your monitor.
