Does anyone run WoW on a Linux Distro at all? If so how did you go about it. I have seen a few posts about using WINE. (done so in the past with other games). The only thing holding me to windows atm is games. Personal reason is the only reason I want to switch to Linux full time. So.. anyone have constructive advice or tips to get WoW to run on Linux?
My post from the wow forums, basically exactly what it says. The games I been playing the most are WoW and WoT. Does anyone have experience with either of these games in say.. Linux Mint/Debian/Ubuntu 14.11? Want to switch to a Linux distro full time but want to make sure it will be somewhat painless to do this.

Can't say I ran WoW but I ran some other games in the past.

For me, if the rating on WineHq is not platinum, I don't bother. Even with platinum you can often find quirks / issues and spend hours trying to figure them out.

Personally, I wouldn't bother unless you play very casually and / or just want to screw around with Wine.

Dual boot or just stop playing.

Wow is very easy to run on Linux and does really well if you have the right hardware. Just search "world of Warcraft on linux" on YouTube and find a guide that you like that was made in the last year or so.

Don't have the SSD space to dualboot or else I would. And I have searched but I was hoping more direct input/advice from someone here would be had. Still helpful none the less.

Is Crossover still around? I think they had a very good track record with those types of games. Playonlinux I believe does as well but honestly I just dual booted. I am totally with you on games being the only thing that holds me to windows.
