I am building a system for a friend and need some help! I would prefer to order components from: newegg.ca or NCIX.com, but am open to other Canadian retailers.
My local shop is http://www.memoryexpress.com/, so I may get the monitor and case there if it saves me on shipping. Is there much risk of dead pixels on modern monitors? If so, I would prefer to buy that locally in case an exchange is necessary.

If you could order from Newegg.ca or others, you might be able to get a slightly better deal. I showed the 5770, but really I would by the 5850, but the XFX brand is OOS at thier locations.

Thanks! Sorry, I should have linked them to stand out, but I mentioned I would order from newegg.ca or NCIX. I was just thinking that memoryexpress might be better for the case (no shipping cost) and monitor (easy return if dead pixels).
 
How does this look?

Some items are OOS and it is slightly above budget, but there is not a huge rush to have this system assembled and they have told me there is a bit more flexibility in the budget for signifigant performance gains. I have not had an AMD system for ages, which is why I picked the i5. If AMD would be more appropriate for this system I would definitely go that route - I just do not know how to compare on paper an Intel system to an AMD system.
