Was wondering if anyone would happen to know a cheap, Wire or wireless gaming router that would be used primary for PS3 that wouldn't give me a lot of problems I have been experiencing with our Belkin Surf router...

I've set all the ports I need forward, DMZ'd just the PS3's IP.... Opened ports.. and I'm STILL getting "Strict NAT"

I'm going insane... The PS3 is hooked up by Wired. I've literally at my wits end at trying to solve this problem. Belkin hasn't really been very helpful so any idea would be appreciated. Much thanks.

Cheap isnt good. Spend the 100+ dollars and get a solid netgear w/ gigabit and wireless N or better.

http://www.google.com/products/cata...a=X&ei=aBEPUOjSAYX24QSk24GYBQ&ved=0CF0Q8wIwAA is a really good router considering the hardware, price and it works well with OpenWRT. If you want something more powerful go with TP-Links current top model, https://www.google.com/#q=tl-wdr430...,cf.osb&fp=403f4951560f30fa&biw=1920&bih=1096 which also works with OpenWRT. For those recommending Mikrotik, these also use Atheros SoCs but newer platforms and are a bit slimmed when it comes to flash and ram but they sure do work well. I'm not sure how well the pre-installed firmware works but OpenWRT (trunk) and miniupnpd works fine with the PS3.

Yea, pretty much what I would do If possible... Networking is something I'm learning slowly. I have an OOOOOOLD Linksys router but its really crappy like 512mb/s

Idea would be to run Modem to the first box, first box would govern the PS3 and prob a few landlines and i'll put the Belkin to be just a wireless access point if possible.
