1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I will be using this PC mainly for games like BF3 and MW3
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Around $800-$1000
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Panama City, FL
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
I will be needing a CPU, MOBO, RAM, Video Card, SSD.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W PSU
CASE: CoolerMaster HAF 932
HDDs: 2x WD Digital Raptor 150 GB 10000RPM
Monitor: 20 inch Samsung 2053BW
6) Will you be overclocking?
Slight overclocking. I like to have a stable system.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1680x1050. 20 inch Monitor
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within the next 3 months.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc.
I will need RAID, USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I have a 64 bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium.

It has been over 3 years since i updated this thing.

My goal for this build is to be able to play games like BF3 and MW3 at max settings at my resolution of 1680x1050 with about >=60FPS. I would also like to have a SSD drive to put my O/S, most used games, and applications on. I plan on keeping my 2 raptor drives for data. Not sure if I should RAID those or not. Which ever configuration is best for what I need.

Thanks in advanced.

If you aren't buying for another three months, it is really too early to start planning a build - too many things can change between now and then, so wait until you are a week or so out, and then re-post this.

wow.. that flood really made the prices of hard drives go up insanely. If your looking to build a new rig, my two cents, reuse what you can, case & power supply & hdd's if all are adequate. Add: intel 2500k, MSI Z68A-GD80 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 <-- does SSD caching!! it's usb 3.0 & sata 6Gbs keep your existing drives in raid 0, that smart response technology is very nice with a small ssd you'll get great performance on your setup. 1-> MSI R6970 Lightning Radeon HD will be perfect @ 1680x1050 res. Plus it has a huge factory oc. Ram- CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 cheap/effective enough. OCZ Vertex Series 30Gb ssd. You'll still need an air cooler you could be thrifty an buy used on craigslist about the safest thing you could buy components wise there. your existing psu should be totally fine for all this, if in doubt google psu calculator. total with shipping on newegg $992.80

I've decided not to update right now. I'm going to wait until Ivy Bridge processors come out and the new 600 series graphics cards. Supposedly around March/April next year. Thanks for your help and insight.
