Well...I've decided what I need to find, but I'm having trouble finding it...see if any of you can help me.

I want a 15.4" screen to cut down on weight. Intel Centrino mobile...DDR2 memory, a gaming video card...at least 6800. Thanks in advance..

Jake

the g6600 is a very capable video card, look at the alienware 5500, it has a g6600 and you can switch to integrated graphics to get more battery life.

Not sure about how it performs compaired to the x700, but I just played Quake 4 at 1024x768 at High settings and it was very playable with very few slowdowns. I also play Battlefield 2 at 1024x768 and it plays fine.

UT2004 plays at 1680x1050 at full detail with no problems at all.

Check out dell XPS models - or they all only 17" now ?

Sager should have something...

This might be a bit of a stretch but, how about the MacBook Pro. I know , I know you said gaming but, recently Windows XP has been made to boot on the MBP and if you ive ita month all the driver problems will be sorted out and Windows XP will be fully operational on the MBP. Also, if you take a look at the specs on the MBP, you can clearly see that it has some really good features for gaming and it is a light and thing 15' laptop. It has a X1600PRO w/ 128MB of VRAM, an Intel Core Duo starting at 1.83GHz, up to 2GB of PC5300 DDR2, and a 100GB 7200RPM, I think you can get the best of all world, Gaming, Friendly OS, Thin, Light, and EXTREMELY powerful. I want to buy a MBP and use it to dual boot WIndows and OSX so I can game on my laptop.

I was actually lookin at those earlier today...They're kinda scarce on the hardware specifics on their site, what kinda networking does it have on it?

acer ferrari 4005 has a 15.4" widescreen w/ an x700 pro i think

I don't want a laptop that looks like a Ferrari either hahah, no offense...that also isn't centrino :-p

I wouldnt take the risk with getting an Imac - sure "some" drives issue maybe worked out but i dont think XP will be %100 stableon an Imac for some time.

Buy something that is made, and is known to work %100 with XP and your PC games.

Did you check out Sager?

Yeah, I've been lookin at the Sager 5320, just concerned that the screen isn't bright enough.

AlienWare for teh W!N

Sager for the win - better for cheaper from the systems i have seen and you dont get an ugly alien head on the top to advertise you got an over priced alienware system.

haha yeah, i think i'm gonna stick with the 5320, it has a very good review on notebookreview(s?).com
