I am looking to build new Gaming PC. I have never built a system before, have never even upgraded one. I have used laptops for gaming for years. I hate to use the term but I am a total noob. I have had friends or IT people take care of all my problems, I have never even installed windows.
I have a budget of $2500 USD. This amount must cover all parts including a monitor.

I have chosen the Motherboard and the PSU for the upgrade options they give me later on. I am not sure about this Motherboard, it seems that people are having a ton of problems with, but it seems to be the best socket 1155 Motherboard that has PCI express 3.0.
I would like to have a SSD for a boot drive and a 2TB HDD for primary storage.

Pretty much what Lord Nassirbannipal said: Please answer the stickied "ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS FIRST!" so that we can better critique that build.

With that said, there are a few issues with that build:
- That motherboard is ridiculously overpriced for something that only has a 1 to 2 year warranty. There are better bang for the buck motherboards out thre are equal or better than in quality as that AsRock while having a longer warranty.

- You can't use PCI-E 3.0 at all with socket LGA 1155 until you upgrade to the Ivy Bridge CPUs coming in late April. In addition. PCI-E 3.0 doesn't really matter at all for a single GPU config. PCI-E 3.0 really only matters when you're doing Crossfire

- That PSU isn't that good. If you're gonna go stupid overkill with a 1000W PSU, at least choose a good one like the Corsair 1050HX.

- That RAM is a poor choice if you're planning on using air-cooling heatsink fan since its tall heatsinks will interfere with such coolers.
 
In addition to the stick questions, please answer the following:

- Which games are you (planning on) playing? At what (preferable) level of visual quality?

- Are you going to use a flight stick, driving wheel, or gamepad as well?

- Outside of gaming, what is the most resource-intensive task that you would like to do?

- Would you prefer a "regular" tower PC, a desktop PC (like a Shuttle), or something else?

I need Crossfire support. SATA 6gb/s

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I will be using Windows 7 64bit


I will mainly be playing:
Age of Conan
WoT
Mechwarrior Online
SWTOR
Tribes Ascend
CS

I would also like to be running two monitors minimum, with a 3 monitor eyefinity setup eventualy.
I will also be using a HOTAS control setup for MWO.
The most intensive non-gaming related activities will be photoshop
I would prefer a Tower style case with lots of room for expansion. While I am only starting with one 7950, around midsummer I plan on adding a second.

IN that case, I recommend that you wait until late April to do this build as Intel is releasing new CPUs around that time frame. In addition, there will be a new line of motherboard coming out around that same time frame. That's well within your 90 day plan.

So please come back in about 60 days and ask for advice then. You'll get up-to-date build advice then.
