I am thinking of upgrading to core2.There appears to be problems with AMD dual core processors single threaded games. The fixes listed elsewhere in these forums appear to be mostly for AMD processors.I don't read much about core 2 problems. If people are having problems with core 2's I would appreciate them listing which games cause problems and their fixes.

I have both an AMD dual core and an Intel dual, and have never had an issues playing any games..

it is not a problem with the cpus, but rather the smp implamentation in windows. the patch simply allows the smp to work better in windows. thats all, there have been a few bad cpus (intel has them too) but that has been ironed out.
