gaming lcd tv

i know you can buy lcd monitors for a lot cheaper than you can buy a lcd tv for but what i really wanted was an 24inch lcd monitor but it seems right now nobody can get there act together and produce something that can do it right from the get go as it seems benq and gateway both has its problems.

i want to buy a monitor/tv asap and i am not a very patient person when it comes to having to wait and buy thats why i come here and ask you guys for your help and opinion. right now i have two choices that i am looking at

SAMSUNG LN-S2351W 23-Inch Flat Panel LCD Widescreen tv

or

SONY KDL-23S2010 BRAVIA S-Series 23" Digital LCD Television



i really wanted a monitor as it has dvi which iw as going to use to play my monitor and use the vga for my xbox but i can always buy a splitter if i get a tv or use the component cables that come with my xbox on the tv. if you guys have any other suggestions i'd be more than happy to hear you guys out. i really was interested in the benq but the update seems to be near but distant at the sametime.

I know it's hard, but personally I'm gonna be patient and see what's up with CES.

i wouldn't so much mind a tv the price really doesn't cause a factor in my decision in lcd tv's being more exspensive than the monitors. my only main concern is getting something that is good and not total crap. i was falling in love with the gateway but now everyone is bashing it with its buzzing noise that is coming from it. is there any decent websites that does reviews that anyone can reccomend for just reading purposes or anything ?
