I sold my laptop and will have around 2000$ for buying a gaming laptop. I want something top of the line and was leaning towards the alienware m15x; however, with the reports of heat issues and cracking... I'm scared. I could buy Gateway-FX; however, it would only have the 8800GTS. I really was shooting for a 8800GTX with a laptop. I'm open to other suggestions.. I'm not sure what other laptops that are out there. All I know is that I now have the money to purchase a gaming laptop and now don't know what to get.
 
If you are so inclined to get an 8800 in there, do get a minimum of a 3 year warranty. Overheating and burning out is a nasty bitch a month after your year long warranty expires; and I had a 7900GS.
