I would like to know what people recommend for gaming as far as headphones go. My XFI Titanium sound card died the other night, so I have been using a logitech usb headset with the volume controls on the right side of the headset. Its also got a nice function of pressing on the right headphone for mute/unmute along with a cool red light light that lets you know the status of your mic.

Is there better headsets for gaming?
Do you recommend USB Audio headsets or the standard 3.5mm headsets?

Edit:
My Altec Lansing 251B's are outdated by about 7 years, is it worth upgrading to a newer surround sound setup?

I was considering picking up one of these from amazon for headphones

maybe this later on within 3 months time

Thanks

Don.t get USB if you can, messes up how your computer processes sound. Get a decent sound card and some DJ quality Headphones. But make sure you get some with a low Ohm rating. Otherwise get a sound card with a built in amp.

The sennheiser PC 350 is good but you need said sound card to get the full effect. I got one and doing the drill hole/cotten mod to it today. :D hope it works

The Audio Technica AD-700's and A-700's seem to be pretty unanimously recommended around here when it comes to gaming. I own the latter model and they sound great. Very comfortable as well.
