Hey everyone, i'm thinking about building another gaming computer and wanted to finish up at around the $1500 mark. I like to game a little so i thought about a larger SSD for the OS and one game in particular.
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, surfing the web, email, and editing HD video
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
About $1500, but thats subject to change.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Muscatine, Iowa. USA
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
case, mobo, CPU & fan, RAM, videocard, PSU,SSD and a HHD, card reader, and CD/DVD (maybe Blueray) disk drive
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Sound card. Sound Blaster X-FI Elite Pro
6) Will you be overclocking?
mild OC
7) 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920X1080 24" LCD
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Just going to buy the parts as money becomes available. Hopefully have it all in the next 5 months.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Firewire, USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s, HDMI
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, i have Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. But want to purchase Win7.
I know this may sound contradictory, but i was hoping not to spend more than $350 for a videocard. I don't need the latest and greatest, just a good solid card.
Would this be a good combo for what i want?
