Gaming Card with TV-tuner

[Dan17]

I'm looking into buying a new video card but I want to be able to hook it up to cable to watch tv on my pc (tv tuner). I am also an avid gamer so I need to be able to play the latest games. What is one of the better cards out there for this? I was looking into the All-In-Wonder ATI Radeon 9800pro.

Thanks,
...Dan

I used to have an All-In-Wonder, but I really think they are a waste of money.

What you should do is buy a Hauppage PVR card. That way you:

1. Can just buy normal video cards in the future (AIW cards are pricey)
2. Use a hardware MPEG-2 encoder (AIW lacks hardware encoding)
3. Potentially have a multi-tuner card setup in the future

Hardware MPEG2 encoding will also require MUCH less CPU usage.

Thanks, but that card is way too expensive. Does anyone know if the ATI E-Home Wonder TV/FM Tuner is a good? It has hardware mpeg-2 encoding like the hauppage card.

Thanks,
