Hey gang.

Thinking about putting a small rig together to power a little 18.5 inch monitor I've got.

What card would you recomend for future proofing at this rez? I want all possible eyecandy available at that resolution.

Does "all possible eyecandy" include massive amounts of AA (including things like transparency AA for smoothing leaves/grass), or just max in-game settings?

Max in-game settings for at least a couple years should be possible with a 5770. If you want to rock-out the AA as well, you should consider a GTX 460 1GB.

At that res you should go for something that will max everything AA and all, otherwise you may as well get a 2 year old videocard. See below next quote
