I preface the question with the fact that I currently have a nice surround set in this same room, along with an HDTV mounted on the wall. So I'm not looking for a HTIB or larger speakers or DD/DTS decoder, just a set of computer speakers What I'm actually looking for is a 5.1 set for my gaming rig. Do I need something at the Logitech Z-5300e level to get good bass and surround? How does something like the x-540 compare to the 5300e? I don't need the greatest surrounds, as the computer has walls in close proximity on 3 sides.
