There was a story posted on digg about GameStop's policy of opening games to put the cases on display, and keeping the disc, while selling that copy as "new". GameStop also has a "check out" system where employees can borrow a game for a certain amount of time to become knowledgeable about it, and still sell that copy as new.
In your eyes, is there something wrong with this policy, and what do you think new games should be (unopened, unplayed, etc.)? I've taken a few games from the display cases without realizing it, but I never bother trying to return them because it's too much of a hassle. This policy isn't limited to GameStop or videogame stores in general.
