I've had this headset about a month now and just realized, when I have the volume down to zero on the computer (both via headset and sound panel), the sounds still play through the headphones? Were these designed this way? Or is there something wrong with the sound controller in the headset?

If I mute things through the control panel, the sounds stop; however, with everything set to zero volume, the music or whatever can still be hear.

Any thoughts? Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
I just got this headset and installed it about 10 min ago. This doesn't appear to be happening to me. Using the drivers off the CD. Haven't checked yet whether more updated ones are available.
 
I have had this headset for several months and not experienced what you're describing. Definitely Google gamecom 780 software. I think they are up to rev4
