games wont run on tv, need help

so I'm trying to figure out a way to play full screen games on my tv, such as counterstrike source. When I launch the game, it will only display on my monitor. Is there a way I can play the game on my tv without disabling my monitor? I tried making the tv the primary display, but it still loads up on my monitor. Any suggestions? Only thing that worked was to disable my monitor, and use the tv only.

IIRC, I think some TVs require that it (the TV in question) be the only display plugged in. I do not remember for sure though.

With regards to playing full screen, are you sure you have the resolution and refresh rate set correctly in the game and/or game's config. file (I know it's obvious, but I forgot about this step a few times).

After setting your TV to primary, did your reboot. I found changing to primary can be a finicky operation. I think I had to reboot twice to get everything working.

Yes that would be helpful.

Regardless I think the only way is to set your TV as your primary display in display settings in the control panel.

i have an older tube tv, panasonic forgot the exact model number.
