games won't run from RAID 0 array

I have 2 36Gb Western Digital Raptor SATA drives and I put them in RAID 0. I can read/write from the RAID 0 array, but when I try to open a game (like Battlefield 1942) from the RAID 0 array it won't run and gives me several errors.

I do not have Windows installed on the array, only the game files are on it. I have had friends look at it and they can't find whats wrong with it.

ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe (BIOS: 2019)
P4 3.4 @ 3.74Ghz
2x 36Gb SATA Raptors in RAID 0
Windows XP Media Center 2005

Thanks,
Robert

Retest loading your games after each of these steps:

1) Back to stock frequencies
2) Reset CMOS and load defaults, then manually reenable SATA RAID and any other specific settngs.
3) Investigate updated Intel Application Accelerator RAID drivers.
4) BIOS Update for mobo (you may have latest version already)
5) Diagnostics on the drives
6) Backup, destroy, and rebuild RAID

If none of these actions solve your problem, post back. I really don't think you'll get all the way down the list.

I'v done the following and it won't fix it.

1) set CPU back to 3.4Ghz (stock)
2) I set the BIOS back to factory default (but did necissary chantges)
3) I have destryed and rebuilt the RAID array several time with different settings each time

do games play on a non raid? I think you have some other problem not to do with the raid....

I can play games off any other parition or hard drive without issue. its only the RAID arrary that has problems lauching games

Possible Hardware/Driver Conflict with the raid driver/array controller?

Have you tried updating the raid drivers. iIRC the P4C800-E uses a promise chip.

I'v updated the driver for every pice of hardware that has to do with my HDDs. Is there something that I missed? like a setting I have to change?
