that psu looks a little low to me... it may not be powerful enough.

also... check to make sure your mobo chipset drivers are installed... trust me, this makes a VERY big difference ;)

Hmm.. That's a good enough system to run CS:S fine.. Yeah ttry upgrading your mobo's chipset drivers... Yo starhawk if you see this tell me your screenname on aim in priveate message or wutever.. I have a question and I actually need someon to tlak to not on a forum.. Thanks!!!!

the psu should be fine unless it has crappy wattage, my 420W TTGI runs my x800 pro and everything else in my system perfectly

look up the specs of your motherboard. one of the specs listed will be chipset.

When you upgraded your video card, did you do a clean install of windows? If you didn't, did you run drive cleaner before you installed the new drivers? Have you tried uninstalling your current drivers, and backing down to the version before the 71s?

yes before i had the offical drivers of the nvidia site .. my score in mark05 was only 3200 then someone told me to get the 71.25 beta drivers .. then i got 4800 ... but games didnt change :( and yes i did use driver cleaner to get rid of my ati drivers and the old nvida

I was having similar problems not too long ago, I was somewhat suspicious of my motherboard being the cause. Sure as shit, when I took out the VNF3-250 and put a DFI Lanparty in there the problem was gone.

Heres an idea of how much performance was being hindered.

Aquamark:
VNF3-250: 39,xxx
DFI Lanparty: 51,xxx

Nothing else was changed, I didn't even need/have to reinstall windows. Might not be your problem....just an idea though.
