So over the past couple of weeks whenever I am playing a game, it will randomely minimize and I will have to pull it back up to resume. It only happens about one time per session, but it always seems to happen at the worst time.

I've checked to see if I have any programs running that would cause this but I can't seem to find anything. If anyone has experienced this and knows a remedy, that would be greatly appreciated

Are you running dual monitors? Some games, if I click outside the game on my secondary monitor, it will minimize the game.

Most likely culprits are the dual monitor situation mentioned above, or a Firewall/AV issuing alerts (sometimes they recede before you get a chance to see them). That'd be my guess.

Or pron. Too much pron.

What? Too much????

My brother's laptop had been doing this during Starcraft 2 somewhat often. Still haven't found out the problem though. Maybe too much pron too? :D

haha no pron on the system, that's not the issue, and i've disabled all automatic scans for my AV and i don't think it could be my firewall cause it never used to do it in the past. Just an annoying issue i wish i could figure out.

Could be the MSE bug where during the silent definition updates, MSE's hidden window takes focus.

Something is stealing focus. Might just come down to a process of elimination on your part.
Try running in selective startup?

I think someone is trying steal your pixels!

Seriously I would uninstall UM and your display driver then reinstall...

^ultra mon - I use it aswell and sometimes it bugs out on me.\
So I just reinstall - works for me, hassle though.

well thank you all for the replies, much appreciated, ill give all those suggestions a try.

Test for the multi-monitor problem first, go into a game and try moving your mouse off the primary display onto the secondary, if you extend right for example, just move your mouse right quite far and then click and see if you lose focus.

Otherwise it sounds to me like an app is stealing focus, try disabling alerts from all your apps that give them, Instant Messengers, Anti-Virus, Firewall etc.
