I was just looking through the Call of Duty readme because I'm actually having different problems but anyway... I read that it needs at least a 600 MB page file on XP or 2000 to run w/o getting low virtual memory warnings. Now I know that a lot of you have told me that no games use a page file and that its okay to disable it, here what the read me says
P.S. that 1533 setting was damn close to what I came to using that one method in the virtual memory thread in the sticky. So I just used it.
Now I just left my page file at the reccomended size that it told me (like 1533 I think) so I didn't get this error, just wanted to share with your guys.Users playing on machines using the Windows® 2000/XP operating systems that possess less than 600 megabytes (MB) of virtual memory may receive low virtual memory warnings. To avoid these warnings, please make sure you set your virtual memory settings to at least 600 megabytes (MB). In addition, the warning occurs when switching video settings while in the game. If you are in a game and you want to switch video settings, please exit to the main menu first and then make the desired changes.
