Im looking for a sound card.. i have been using the real tek audio on my MSI Neo K8N Platinum Board, and it sounds ok, but it has some issues with some games.

I don't use the sound on my PC for anything but games, I dont play CD's on it, dont watch DVD's on it, dont do a lot of burning where sound is an issue, etc.

But i play a ton of current games. So i am looking for best value gaming card.

I have in the best been less then pleased with the support i have gotten from Creative in the past... but it looks like they have MORE of the market than the last time i bought a card a few years ago. I had bought a Hercules Fortissimo 7.1, which is still in my wifes computer.

So the question becomes what is a very good gaming card?

it looks like Everything from Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 Value and Up all have the saming game functions except th FireWire which i dont need, and the Speaker Calibration for Optimal 3D Positional Audio, which might be useful.

So at this point i am leaning towards the Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 Value or the Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 ZS.

But, I REALLY dont want to buy a Creative product if I dont have too. Can anyone suggest a non-creative card that can compete gaming wise with them? Does Creative have the market on EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD*? Does any non-creative card have it?

I am looking to spend in the $75 range.

Get a Audigy 2 Value.

Yeah if your doing nothing but gaming then go ahead and get an Audigy Value.
