Paint it. :D

I'm planning on doing my cube a nice dark red once I find one of those damn gc screwdrivers you need to take it apart with.

'O why couldn't they just use torq or an allen wretch

cause then they would be modified to play japanese games faster than you can say Xbox.

^ They were modified almost as soon as it was out in the USA. :p

It wont let you play backups but yeah. Didnt really stop them that well. :p

From what I hear, there's a rather convoluted way to play backups without any hardware mods at all.

oh i will be painting it, no worries
think of this thread as a resource for anyone looking to mod their cube, in case or hardware
if you have any links pertaining to GC modifications, please post them, and i'll append it to the first post of mine

you can get the gamebit from lik-sang, unfortunatly it costs like $15 and its just the bit
i know because i got one haha
works great though, took an snes apart and it was pretty dusty

I found a knock-off gamebit type deal from a flea market for $2. Works like a charm.

yeah after getting it from lik sang, i realized how much money i wasted compared to other places
ah well
c'mon guys, no one has submited anything yet
i've been finding all the links haha

yep i have that listed :)

maybe this collection of information will help someone who's looking to mod their cube
haha because it seems like its pretty hard to find a nice collected work of links etc
