Has anyone got the Gameboy Micro yet? I am going 2 go pick one up at the store on wednesday to check it out. It just came out today.

huh?i havent heard about a release yet...and its out?......if it costs $30 i might pick one up,i dont see the point ive traded all my Gameboys and games in for cash

edit:$130!?!?!?!?!? FUCK ME, sorry im never dishing that out for a 3rd reincarnation of a gba

it looks like it would be pretty fun to have... but i cant justify paying $100 for it. i wonder when nintendo will be done re-re-re-releasing the gameboy...

The thing is pretty cool looking but I don't have gameboy stuff anymore. I gave it all to my little bro then ending up buying a ds only to give that to him(I bought it figuring I'd play with it some then give it to him)

I really liked the ds other then the fact I wanted a analog controller on it. I just didn't have a need for it. I prefer playing nes games on my notebook with my usb nes controller.

the game boy micro looks like the oldschool nintendo controller. they should release on with a color scheme like that; gray, black arrow-things, red buttons :D

ya i have the PSP and it totally blows the gameboy away IMO. not being !!!!!!sh just stating my opinon

i got a micro today $70 with SP trade-in. The screen is the suprisingly really chrisp!

i have heard that the new pearl blue and graphite SPs will have the same new screen, if thats the case i think ill trade my old SP for that

nothing better than a boring job and a gameboy to pass the time

ps. i really wish some decent games or something would come out for the psp, i got one when it came out and an extended battery only to have a $350 paperweight cause the games suck

If the gameboy micro costs $130.. there is no pointin getting.. just get a DS.. the DS plays gameboy advance games... doen deal..

I think they have released the oldschool version, not sure if it's in north america or just japan.

I'll stick with my DS and regular GBA. This is really aimed at the people who like having stylish gadgets even if they cost more, and the non-gamers.

I don't have any impressions of the Micro though, I haven't even seen one yet. But it did sell over 170K units in Japan in its debut week...

I think it's pretty nice, especially since it is a bit wider side to side than the SP (the SP is so narrow my hands cramp up). The comfort provided by that extra distance between the dpad and the buttons elevates it above gimmick status for me. The screen is nice, too. However, if you like the SP better (it is cheaper and plays all GB games), they are re-releasing it with a much brighter screen that is actually backlit, as oppossed to the side lit screen on the current SP:

hmmmm that thing looks pretty sweet. i skipped the DS generation (i have sp and advance) so maybe i'll take a look at one of those. kinda looks like those cheap games that mcdonalds was selling in happy meals awhile back. :p

Great screen, and cool-looking, but I'd grab a DS for a few bucks more. You have the ability to play the GBA-games, but also the ability to play DS games. And looking at the games on the DS (both released, and coming soon), I would rather have the ability to play both. I mean... who can resist Mario Kart wifi goodness, or the sims-like Animal Crossing? Not to mention the Mario side-scroller. It's about time side-scrollers come back :)

There's a deal coming at the end of October that includes a DS and Nintendogs for almost the same price as a current Micro.
