Game PC in a "Small Form Factor" system

Hi

I was wondering if it was possible to have a high end game configuration in a Small Form Factor case (BareBone). I have allready seen a great case (the aOPEN XC CUBE) but i don't know if i can put a high end game system in it.

I mean like an AMD 64 bit CPU, 1 gb RAM, at least 300 GB harddisk, good video and sound card, wireless networking card... Things like that.

Is this possible in that case i selected (above) or will i get any problems then (ie. cooling, space).

Hopefully it will be possible :)
 
is it possible with those kind of components? hell'z yeah! :D ...SN95G5 ör SN25P for starters

So the case i said, that Aopen XC Cube, is not a good case then? I think it looks better than those cubes you said ;)?
 
FlexATX and microATX (or mATX) are two different standards.

FlexATX, as far as I know, only have a max of one or two PCI slots. And if you get a semi modern video card...they will most likely take up two slots of room.

mATX usually has three PCI slots. You mentioned that you want a sound card and wireless card in the computer....you have to plug those in somewhere. PCI slots are where you do that.

For video you can get PCI-e or AGP in mATX (but please note--I have yet to find a mATX mobo that is both s939 and AGP, so if you go s939 mATX, then you have to go PCI-e). PCI-e is PCI-Express, the new format for video cards that allows for the best "future proofing" of your system. As does going s939, but you already mentioned wanting AMD64 which is s939.

Yeah, the mATX case like the Aria and ASPIRE X-QPACK are a tad larger then the Shuttle type systems, but cases like the X-QPACK allow for more custom system setups.

looks? looks comes after performance ...you asked for high end gaming so you show me where the aopen is outperforming the 95 & 25 in game benchez and you'll find your answer
 
Shuttle makes a wireless kit...doesn't take up a PCI slot. Or you can rig a USB one to work internally as well. As far as audio goes, the PCI slot in the SN95G5 is on the other side of the AGP slot, so it's very useable.

I will go search for a good cube then, which i can also buy in my country (the netherlands). I also like the Falcon Northwest, but i don't know if i can buy it over here. :)
