There is a site out there that allows you do "PURCHASE" a legit key for a game which will work with EA link, etc.

It's called gamekeydistrict I believe...

If you've 'lost' your key you can purchase a new one. Couple of friends did this for BF2142 and both of their keys worked. They both got them within 12 hours of ordering online. Prices are fair.

Also, this is not for downloading a game and using a key, of course people will use it for that. If you own the media and don't have the case with the key on it, this is a good option.

If you want older games... you can always find them on ebay and craigslist really cheap, or just wait another 5 years for them to go open source like quake 1 and quake 2 =)

:eek:woops, now when i look at my post i could see why someone reported me. lol. that wasnt my intention at al. didnt realize how my post came accross until now. sorry if anyone misunderstood me. when i was referring to a place to dl games, i was thinking something like the Steam program where you could get old copies for like 9.99. Since Steam only cary Valve products, there no way to dl other games. So my question was more of if anyone knew an outlet that carried more titles, hence i only specified old games, where it would be a lot cheaper online than retail. now only if someone could inform me on what does mean when im "REPORTED" :D

Currently Steam carries other games beyond Valve/Steam based games; Doom/Quake series, Stalker etc...

Other than that you can check services like Direct 2 drive.

Steam actually carries more than just Valve.

Direct2drive is another service that I'm aware of.

*Looks like I was beaten to the punch ;)*

Fileplanet has alot of games you can download useing there Direct to drive, Steam has alot of games as well. EA has there service. I also believe Gamestop has a download service as well.
You can buy WoW and Burning Crusade from from Worldofwarcraft.com and download both of them, hope you have a fast connection as your looking at well over 8 gigs there.
