I originally brought up my RMA situation here.
I thought folks might want to know how this one particular RMA has been handled. While my experience may not be indicative of the overall 'scene' with regard to Galaxy RMA, it has been sufficient to sour me on Galaxy as a brand for the foreseeable future.
Outside of its non-functional status, the card I sent for RMA was otherwise pristine. I did receive a replacement 780 Hall of Fame card, and it does work (for now). However, the card has numerous aesthetic issues and, most glaringly, it's literally missing surface-mounted components. Not to mention that there is damage where one of the lands for those components has been completely gouged out of the PCB.
I replied to the last status request from Galaxy's RMA rep informing him of the above as well as sending a zip containing the images I took of the replacement card. I expect that this doesn't really concern him all that much.
Take this post for whatever it's worth to you. Even if they were available to buy, I certainly won't be suggesting Galaxy cards to anyone at this point.
