Not the note 3 apparently?

I'm anxious to hear if Verizon has plans to carry the device.

Verizon won't get it. Other than the size, it's really nothing special. It's actually pretty low end hardware and is lower spec'd than last years Galaxy S3. It's not comparable to the Note 3 in any way other than it being bigger and may have about the same battery life. It's not even comparable to the Note 2. The only incentive to get it would be for its large screen (if you're looking for that), decent battery life, and cheaper price.

Mega is the attempt give tablet users call capability. T4rd already covered the rest.

You know AT&T will carry the Note 3, so don't worry about that...

The Galaxy Mega series has been out for a little while elsewhere, and it's actually built more for markets like east Asia and Russia, where buyers may want a phone that could almost double as a tablet, but don't always have the cash to either buy two devices or get one high-end device. That and I imagine there's a certain amount of power politics involved (my phone is bigger than yours).
