I cannot get this program to work properly with my newly installed Galaxy GT520. The card is in the primary PCI-E slot of a Asus M5A88-V (AMD 64 4-core) motherboard, which also has a Nvidia GeForce 7600GT card (two DVI) in the other PCI-E slot, and ATI onboard video (HD4250; one each DVI and VGA). OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The card went in no problem; drivers were installed off the CD and then later upgraded online (currently Nvidia 8.17.7533) only after MDT EZY (CD version) failed to work properly. When booted, the BIOS screen appears on the ATI monitors (this matched the default BIOS setup choice). In Windows, all eight monitors come up and Aero works normally; the four monitors (LG E1910, native 1280 x 1024) on the Galaxy card appear as just two (landscape) and each is shown on the screen res page as one 2560 x 1024. I can select the primary as I choose, switch between landscape and portrait, change resolutions etc. without any issues. UltraMon is installed, but I've tried both closing it and temporarily de-installing it without any affect on the following issue. I've also had Aero both on and off; again it does not seem to matter. I've also tried swapping the two PCI-E cards in the two slots (no change) and changing the boot video setting to the Galaxy slot; oddly, this is ignored and the boot-up video continues to be the ATI onboard regardless of what I choose.

The original symptom; MDT EZY (bundled CD version) appears to install, then asks for a reboot. After the reboot, MDT will open just once, showing (correctly) four monitors with options of merged (two) or separate (four) monitors, but set for two; nothing happens when four is clicked (four is not highlighted to indicate the click registered, and the displays do not change). When MDT is closed it will not reopen. So I downloaded the current MDT version from the website; deinstalled the original, then installed the update. Again I'm asked for a reboot; afterwards MDT will open once, but now shows only two monitors, with the choice of merged (default) or separate. When I click on separate, I get a pop-up indicating choice has been implemented, but nothing changes. I can toggle this back and forth; the pop-up SAYS I'm changing the setting, but the displays remain merged regardless. Once closed, MDT will not reopen; on the Windows task manager list, MDT appears closed, but TWO processes are still active- MDT64.exe and MDT.exe*32 (the latter continues to show CPU usage, while MDT64.exe shows zero). If I end these processes manually one at a time, it's MDT.exe*32 that closes the MDT window (and its only after closing this one that the shortcut icon will then work to open the window again).

The install log (below) shows multiple DLL registration failures (although these do appear to be from the 32 bit version bin). I've de-installed and reinstalled MDT several times without seeing any behavior or install log changes. I've also run a registry cleaner several times in between installs.

I've emailed Galaxy support (twice) without a reply. I'm hoping there is a simple fix for this; I really have no use for the merged monitor mode...

I was under the impression someone from Galaxy monitored this forum, since other Galaxy-related issues have been dealt with... I still have received no reply to either email I sent to the support address.
