Hi all!

I seem to be having some really strange rendering issues. I believe that something on my Galaxy 7900GS has been screwed, but I wanted some opinions. As you can see from the screen shot I get these really weird textures appearing - like the original texture is being deformed. I think it only happens on Pixel/Vertex Shader 3.0 programs - but I'm not sure, really depends on what SMRR uses.
I've definitely had the problem in:
-Test Drive Unlimited (the screen shot - that view was just to see the errors better)
-HL2 Ep2/Portal/TF2
-NFS ProStreet Demo, in fact it had the worst errors of them all. On top of what you see in the screen shot, some textures wouldn't render, or would render translucently.
-SM Railroad Tycoon
-Call of Juarez
-ES IV Oblivion (I think - haven't tried it in a while)

It's been like this for months now, but I thought it was just something screwed in windows, now that exams are over I reinstalled windows and 'basic' hardware but its still there. Before I rebuilt I tried the following ForceWare versions (all off the galaxy site - found that those ones ran better...in my mind!):
-91.47
-93.71
-158.18
-162.30
-163.71

My current setup is as follows (note: I do not play around with clock settings, etc):
OS: WinXP Pro 32bit SP2. (before rebuild was also running Vista and I had the same errors in it - oh yeah, its looking like hardware).
CPU: E6600
Mobo: Asus P5W DH Deluxe - latest drivers + BIOS
RAM: 2x 1GB Samsung cheap stuff
Graphics: Galaxy 7900GS 256MB PCI-E x16 - 163.71
Sound Card: Creative Audigy 2 ZS - Web Update 2 (about a year old)
Storage: 2x 320GB Seagate SATA2, Striped (ICH7R Controller). WD MyBook Pro 500GB External (USB)
Case: Antec P180B with 3x 120mm fans (1x intake, 1x exhaust)
PSU: Antec NeoHE 550W
Keyboard: Logitech Elite - I think latest drivers
Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution - latest drivers
Wheel: Logitech G25 - latest drivers
Monitor: Dell 2407 (24" LCD 1920x1200 - the it's connected on both DVI and VGA, DVI as primary)
Speakers: Creative/Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500s, connected over the Creative DIN

All the sensors I do have say that I'm running cold - 20 to 40 Deg C below warning, let alone hardware limit.

Any insights appreciated. Thanks.
Gamer.

P.S. So I know for next time, which thumbnail standard do I use from ImageShack?

Looks like the memory on your card is either overheating or highly overclocked, if none of those, then becoming very defective.

I'm almost positive it's defective.

Well I don't over clock, and I don't think its overheating...S***

Any other ideas *he asks, a note of panic in his voice*?

Thanks.
