Galaxy 670 GC Default fan profile

I want to know if there is a way to adjust the default fan profile on this card without using external software. I ask because they went for noise vs cooling... and that is okay except they let the card hit 75 and still only run the fan at 40%. I would like it to keep itself below 70 at all times.

I tested this temp doing heaven extreme for 10 minutes.

If I manually set the fan to 60 I get 58c. If I set it to 50 I get 64c.
At 60% the fan is just barely audible.

I also wanted to ask.. My card comes with a factory OC of 1006. It boosts to 1176 by default. I know that isn't super high.. but is it pretty good? or is it on the lower side of default boosts

Use EVGA's Precision X. It does a good job when you turn off the Auto Fan and just put it at 70%.

That's a pretty high boost from what I've seen if you haven't made any adjustments at all.
