I recently bought a brand new Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 mobo, and I am running an AMD Athlon XP, barton +3000. Its running @ 2.17. My Geforce FX 5900 is made by Gainward. The package is the Ultra 1300, 256 DDR. I have installed the Gainward drivers and my problem is this. Each time I run a game, after a format and fresh install of everything including mobo drivers, and video drivers, my game will crash. I am referring to the games, soldier of fortune 2, call of duty and counter strike source. In sof2, the game will come up with the xp error box, stating that I can send and error, or just close the program. I have checked through the even viewer and found that its always the nvidia .dll files. Like the nvoglnt.dll or something like that. It gives me some 1000 error. I looked that up but I have yet to find a solution. The card is intact properlly, all my voltages are fine. Fans are running and it runs fine on the desktop. The games usually crash anywhere from 1 minute to around 4 minutes. Sometimes on counter strike or call of duty, it will restart my pc. I have tried omega driver and nvidia drivers also. Still, no solutions. I am in desperate need of help. Thanks for your time and I appreciate anyones support on this matter.

Regards,
Lucas

of course. I even tried reverting to an older bios on the card and that didnt help. I dont have any clue as to what I can do to get this card to work. This is the only real place I knew I could come for help. Anyone that can fix this, I will PayPal $20.

That looks like a very old version of NVIDIAs OpenGL (I think). Is this with the old drivers which came on the Gainward CD? If so, you should stick with the ones downloaded from NVIDIA. If you reinstalled the drivers properly after changing video boards (uninstall, run DriverCleaner, swap boards, reinstall) and you're still having problems, then you might look into a persnickety AGP port. You should try to disable smart writes and take the AGP from 8X to 4X or lower as described here. Some motherboards just don't like anything faster than AGP 4X with fast writes disabled.

Searched for 0x00008bce
and at the top of the page is this paragraph:

The entry-points for this DLL are displayed below, along with some information about the type of function behind each entry-point. If you are looking to use one of these functions in your C# or VB.NET, application, you will need to know the full function prototype. Common windows API functions are listed under the API reference section of this site, for other functions, you may have to dig a little deeper. For further information on Windows API functions such as these, and how to use these API's in your C# and VB.NET applications, please refer to the book Network programming in .NET (Buy at Amazon UK) (Buy at Amazon US)

And below that there is a big table with entries like the following:

Refers to ForceWare 44.71 which was designed for Nvidia's Quadro line:

Quadro FX 3000 45.29, 44.71, 52.18, 45.28, 56.56, 52.16, 45.23

Here is some info on mshta.exe.
Seems like lots of people have problems with that exe for some reason.
Search for it on google and plan or reading a lot of stuff.

sof2mp.exe is the Soldier of Fortune exe. I hope you knew that.

I had some problems with my 9500U flashed to 9550U on my other rig.
Some of the newer drivers from Nvid won't allow you to disable fastwrites
Try the elder drivers

As Fredgeot said did you:

Remove drivers in control panel
reboot to safe mode
cancel found new hardware
run driver cleaner
reboot
cancel found new hardware
install new drivers

Yes. I have tried all kinds of new and old drivers from guru3d, nvidia and gainward. Nothing seems to work and I even put another geforce card in the machine and its giving me the same nvoglnt.dll error. I know its related to open gl, but why both cards?

The reason I suggested earlier to try to slow down your AGP port is because you have the same problem with different video cards. It could be a motherboard problem. Slowing down your AGP port just takes a couple of minutes. It may have nothing to do with your AGP port but it's an easy possibility to eliminate.

I already slowed it down like you said. I am sending the mobo back this week. Hopefully it will be the prolem. Thanks for your help guys.

Ok. I know this is an opengl problem. All cards I have installed, Nvidia and ATI keep giving me the same errors. I think its opengl operating on this motherboard. Is there anything I can do to help that? Anyone good with opengl? help plz.

Don't know if this will help,
over at this thread "XG 76.41 drivers GREAT!!" (NVidia}
The [H]'er suggested using Rivatuner and setting Opengl to 1.3
Just a thought ;)
