for all you who use GAIM to do IRC, how do you automatically auth with authserv? the problem is with gamesurge.net. i have authserv set up with a buddy pounce, but for some reason it wont let me auth. the pounce is:

/quote AuthServ AUTH <identity> <password>

it doesnt work, it just sends the message. but, when i send the EXACT same text a minute later, i auth just fine. ive looked everywhere it seems, so i thought i would ask the gurus here! thanks in advance!
 
ive tried it your way too, set up as a Buddy Pounce on authserv. it does the same thing. it shows the message being sent, but i dont actually recieve the auth until i send the same message again ... thoughts?
