you can bet I'm going to get a few tomorrow.....this shit is hurting me deep inside..
When I went on vacation for a week in June....I made the mistake of checking the stats....we had a power failure as well and two boxens that weren't on a UPS were down. Sad indeed.
I remember when I use to get worried about storms...and lightning. Now I just keep those boxens running 24/7 even during the storms. If the lightning comes it will find your boxens no matter what...so why loose out on all that production.

Yeah shite I can't say I've had any serious long time power problems (usually just super brief glitches), but I was getting a pause in my electrical continuity once in a while and it was enough to screw up my 24/7 folding boxen. So what I did, being the "tight wad" I am, I went to Ebay and got an older battery backup (UPS) with enough juice to backup 2x Q6600's and 2x E6600's going after a power failure of 15 or so minutes of "power fluctuation" (in other words when the freaking power was off)
The moral of the story or the point I'm trying to get across is figure how long "on average" you don't have power and purchase a suitable backup UPS, plus.... if you're inclined to be a "tight wad" like me, check out Ebay otherwise there are some "dynamite" brand spanking new battery backups out there
