I've got a Logitech G9 with a broken cord that I'm looking to possibly repair. Has anyone ever opened one of these up and replaced the cord? How much work would have to go into it?

I loved my G9 and it would be a shame for me to have to throw it out.

Ya should be pretty easy, but ease of the fix depends on where it broke. What exactly is broken about it, and is it a break in the cable itself or where it connects to the board?

The cable itself. My puppy chewed up and tore off the USB connector, but everything up to the mouse and board is good.

The cord on my G9 is also going bad right where it enters the mouse. Keeps cutting in and out. Even if I could find a cable, I can't see how to take this thing apart without breaking it. I think these things are put together permanently and that's it, not serviceable. I just ordered a new G9x to replace this one that just needs a cord. Bummer. After using this mouse since it came out, I can't (or won't) use any other. Best damn mouse I've ever owned by a long shot.
