Just thought I'd post my little venture here for those who are interested to see......:)

Well was a complete nightmare....LOL......but I got there........only 3 Ramsinks falling off and giving me trouble.....but they will hold till I get the T412 Thermattach tape I ordered........hopefully!

Let's get down to business...

We can see the 8 screws that need removing to release the heatsink...

Off she comes and again we see the usual mess...

All cleaned up and ready for MC14's...

MC14's fitted.......LOL!

Waterblock in place...

Side view...

Here she is running...

Another view...

Now on to the results........was it worth it?

BEFORE - 49 Idle/64 load

AFTER - 36 Idle/44 load

Not bad at all :D :D

Those Ramsinks stay on, even if it's upside down? God, what am I missing...

Oh, PS... Get a fan on that RAMDAC chip. It goes up close to 100c load!

I had major graphical glitches when I did this to my GTS about 2 weeks ago... A fan helped alot.

Nice temps. Nice work to.

Some airflow is though neccecary with every water cooling system. Everyone knows it.

On other hand wanted to keep original cooler on and cool down a 8800 GTS and whole system without to high noise levels and that all aircooled. I still do not know am I changing it for GTX or leaving it and get another GTS as soon as price goes down.
Also GTS performance on 1680x1050 is pretty good. Hence no need for cahnging right now. I do not mind having smaller E-penis.

Now days if I play online for few hours my GTS core doesn't go over 51 deg.C.

I've done "little" post about how do I cool it and about few cases and few PSU :)

nice work... yeah, getting some air on a wc card like that is still a very good idea.. the memory, mosfets, and ramdac make heat that will pool up on the underside of the card... it's good to have some air moving over the card to deal with that.. like a vantec fancard is really good for that.. anyways.. sweet stuff... I am getting eager to get my 2nd card and WC them... I think I am back to going full face blocks (EK) for them..
